The course runs as two stages of three units each. International AS (Units 1–3, spec XCH11) covers the foundations and is half of the full qualification. International A Level (Units 4–6) carries those forward and adds the A2 content. Each level includes one dedicated practical-skills unit.

Every unit is externally assessed by written examination. IAS = 3 units · IAL = 6 units. The donut shows each unit's share of the full International A Level; the bar shows its share of International AS where it counts toward IAS.
